Babysitting Academy

The Manhattan Fire District will hold its first Babysitting Academy this June! Babysitting Academy teaches how to care for children at various stages, how to deal with strangers while babysitting, first aid, and how to pick out age appropriate activities and books. We also have several guest speakers to discuss staying safe when home alone or babysitting, and how to care for children who have special needs. Students also get hands-on fire extinguisher training and CPR/ First Aid certification.
