Introduction to Adobe Photoshop CC
Introduction to Photoshop is a beginner-level class that provides an overview of Adobe Photoshop, a powerful and widely-used graphic design and photo editing software. In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of using Photoshop to manipulate images, create digital artwork, and enhance photographs. Topics covered in the class include: Interface and Tools, Basic Image Editing, Layers, Selections, Retouching and Repair, Text and Typography, Filters and Effects, Working with Masks, Basic Photo Manipulation, File Formats and Exporting, Creative Projects. The class is designed for individuals who are new to Photoshop and want to acquire fundamental skills in image editing and graphic design. Upon completion of the course, students should have a good foundation to continue exploring and using Photoshop for a wide range of creative projects. Additionally, this course is designed to provide fundamental knowledge and skills for effectively using a computer’s file management system. Exploring and implementing skills which are crucial for everyday tasks and computer literacy using File Explorer to properly navigate the file system hierarchy, understanding drives, folders, and files, and learning how to navigate through them.
This course will be held at Peotone High School, room 226. Students are encouraged to bring a lunch. Breaks will be provided throughout the workshop. This will be a hands-on experience with live instructions. No previous experience necessary.
