Peotone Park District October Updates

Peotone Park District has scheduled announced programs for October, so mark your calendars for the up-coming fun!

• Art in the Park will be offered at the south pavilion until prevented by weather. The program has been very successful and is only $10 per class. Call the office (258-3343), check Facebook or the website for a current schedule, along with art project information.
• Movies in the Park: On October 9, at sunset, the featured film is “Playing with Fire.” On October 30, get ready for Halloween and enjoy “The Adams Family.” Concessions will be open, but are limited to prepackaged goods. Bring a blanket and chairs for your comfort. Social distancing is required, with masks required to visit the concession stand.
• Flying 4 Kids Kite Day: Chicago Kite will provide a kite show, plus there will be kite-making stations for participants to make their own kites. Additionally, prizes will be awarded for each category of kite, both homemade and purchased – with some restrictions, but all kites must fly in order to win. (This event date is subject to change per COVID guidelines.)
• Zombie Run: The annual Zombie Run will be held on Halloween. Visit Facebook or the park website for additional information. Staff, currently, are seeking sponsors and volunteers.
