MINUTES OF PEOTONE PARK DISTRICT SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MARCH 17, 2022      

1. ROLL CALL

• Park District meeting called to order at 7:30 pm.  Present Lindsey Schwiesow, Barbara Sim, Jackie Van Overmeiren, Shaun Ziems.

2. PURPOSE

• A. AUTHORIZE CHANGE IN TERMS OF CERTAIN EMPLOYMENT
• PUBLIC COMMENT – Bud Ivanoff presented information on sculpture for Park District. Chris Ivanoff will donate the sculpture as long as acknowledgment is given to sponsors that donated to the costs of the piece.
• Motion to go into Executive Session by Shaun Ziems, seconded by Jackie Van Overmeiren.  7:31 pm.  Roll call:  Shaun Ziems yes, Jackie Van Overmeiren yes, Lindsey Schwiesow yes, Barbara Sim yes.  Motion passed 4/0.
  Motion to reconvene special Board Meeting by Shaun Ziems seconded by Jackie Van Overmeiren.   8:00pm.  Roll call: Shaun Ziems yes, Jackie Van Overmeiren yes, Lindsey Schwiesow yes, Barbara Sim yes.  Motion passed 4/0.
• B. AUTHORIZE CHANGE IN TERMS OF CERTAIN EMPLOYMENT
• Motion to approve pay increase to Kelly LaMore to $41,600 annual, salary, with Kelly taking on managing all Park staff beginning 3.14.22 by Shaun Ziems, seconded by Jackie Van Overmeiren.  Roll call:  Shaun Ziems yes, Jackie Van Overmeiren yes, Lindsey Schwiesow yes, Barbara Sim yes.   Motion passed 4/0.
• Motion to app-rove salary increase to Jeff Eschbach to $16.20 hourly (increase $1.20) affective 3.14.22 by Shaun Ziems, seconded by Jackie Van Overmeiren.  Roll call:  Shaun Ziems yes, Jackie Van Overmeiren yes, Lindsey Schwiesow yes, Barbara Sim yes.   Motion passed 4/0.
• C. APPROVAL OF ART DISPLAYS / SCULPTURES IN THE PARK
• Motion to approve the installation of flower sculpture in the Park with an installation cost of up to $500 by Jackie Van Overmeiren, seconded by Shaun Ziems.  Roll call:  Jackie Van Overmeiren yes, Shaun Ziems yes, Lindsey Schwiesow yes, Barbara Sim yes.   Motion passed 4/0.
• Motion to approve the installation of horse sculpture in the Park with an installation cost of up to $300 by Shaun Ziems, seconded by Jackie Van Overmeiren.  Roll call:  Shaun Ziems yes, Jackie Van Overmeiren yes, Lindesy Schwiesow yes, Barbara Sim yes.   Motion passed 4/0.
